Our Story

Ofelia and Liz have been catering events with delicious Mexican cuisine for over 20 years. With a mix of authentic and innovative dishes to parties, celebrations, events, and launches all over the valley, Tacos El Buen Gusto never disappoints! 

Relocating from California to Phoenix, Arizona in 2004, Ofelia and Liz took a fun family side-line and transformed it into a popular and successful brand. Now catering for 100 – 150 events a month all across the valley, they’re proud to deliver flavorsome and satisfying cuisine which will have your guests licking their lips in anticipation.

Signature Taco Cart

Our famous taco cart has everything you could ask for! Options include steak, chicken, pork, chorizo, seafood, and squash. All the classic toppings and optional chips, salsa & agua fresca. All you can eat within 2 hours.

Churro Sundae Cart

For the sweet-tooths, we’ve created our signature churro sundaes. Two five-inch churros and two scoops of cooling ice cream, topped with nuts, fresh fruit, Oreo pieces, sprinkles, and syrup (or all the above). From quinceañeras to corporate summer parties, our churro cart is here to stay.

Our most popular package! Our Signature Taco Cart is all you can eat within 2 hours of service. Foam plates, napkins, plastic forks, and both corn and flour tortillas are included. Please note that requests for 50 guests or less will require a consultation to go over event details, pricing, and availability.

Event Time
Your event will include 45 minutes for set up, 45 minutes for break down time, and 2 hours of service.

For Wedding Bookings please reach out to us to coordinate timelines promptly*

Event Area
We will set up in an area that is convenient for you and your guests, preferably outdoors. At minimum, we require an area of 10 ft. x 10. ft. for the taco station. Each taco cart measures 8” x 29” without the salsa bar. A standard side gate is needed for the taco cart entry. If your event will take place outside of natural sunlight hours, kindly provide adequate lighting for the taco station.

Clear pathway is required (i.e., no gravel)

Suggestions
Tacos El Buen Gusto does not take responsibility for any damages caused by the placement of our carts. If there is any concern, we suggest providing a tarp to be placed underneath the tarp.

At the conclusion of your event, any leftover food will remain with you. We strongly suggest having tupperware or ziplock bags for packaging the leftovers.

  • The final guest count or any changes to the booking are required no later than 10 business days prior to your event. Advanced reservations are required for all events, with a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to be paid upon booking which will go towards your final balance.
  • Please be advised your event will NOT be considered booked until we have received your deposit. If under any circumstances you need to cancel your event, a credit may be issued towards a rebooking (must cancel no later than 10 business days prior to your scheduled event). Please note if you decide not to proceed with our service, the $200.00 deposit will not be refunded.
  • The remaining balance will be received the day of the event. Your payment may be made by cash, check, or Venmo. Credit cards are also accepted for a 4% processing fee.
  • There will be an additional charge of $100 if the remaining balance is not paid the day of the event.
  • If you need to make changes to your booking, please call us no later than 5 days prior to your event

  • The final guest count or any changes to the booking are required no later than 10 business days prior to your event. Advanced reservations are required for all events, with a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to be paid upon booking which will go towards your final balance.
  • Please be advised your event will NOT be considered booked until we have received your deposit. If under any circumstances you need to cancel your event, a credit may be issued towards a rebooking (must cancel no later than 10 business days prior to your scheduled event). Please note if you decide not to proceed with our service, the $200.00 deposit will not be refunded.
  • The remaining balance will be received the day of the event. Your payment may be made by cash, check, or Venmo. Credit cards are also accepted for a 4% processing fee.

Churro Sundae Cart

An electrical outlet will be required for the churros. If you do not have an outlet available please let us know in advance to make proper arrangements.

Cool down with our signature churro and ice cream cart! Each sundae includes 2 churros (5”) and 1-2 scoops of ice cream. Please contact us for available ice cream flavors.

Single churros without the cart or sundaes are available for $2/each.
